A man, whose identity was not revealed, was found dead and in a state of decomposition on Monday night (6) in a bush behind the União neighborhood, in Sorriso (398 km from Cuiabá). The victim had been stabbed to death about two days ago.
According to information released by Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Almeida, the Military Police intelligence teams were informed of several disappearances in Sorriso.

During searches, police officers located four suspects in a house and one of them confessed that there was the body of a boy buried in a dumping site where other bodies had been located in the past.
The police went to the location and managed to locate the body, a vehicle in the woods and, inside the car, a driver’s license that, according to the arrested suspect, belonged to the victim.
Afterwards, those involved were arrested and taken to the police station. The gang was charged with hiding a corpse.
The body was collected by Official Forensic and Technical Identification (Politec) and taken for a necropsy examination, which will confirm its identity.
The case is being investigated and, according to the colonel, other bodies are being sought.
