The 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place this year in the city of Malmö, Sweden, kicks off this Tuesday, with the first semi-final, which features the participation of the Portuguese representative, Iolanda.

In addition to Portugal, which is represented with the theme “Scream”, the first semi-final features performances from Cyprus, Serbia, Lithuania, Ireland, Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Iceland, Slovenia, Finland, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Australia and Luxembourg.

In the second semi-final, scheduled for Thursday, Malta, Albania, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Denmark, Armenia, Latvia, San Marino, Georgia, Belgium, Estonia, Israel, Norway and the Netherlands enter into action.

The ten most voted songs from each semi-final will qualify for the final next Saturday, the 11th, joining the Big 5 (Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, France and Italy) with direct qualification and the host country, Sweden, in a total of 26 finalists.

The semi-finals and final of Eurovision 2024 will be broadcast live on RTP1.
