The accident occurred on the way up to Vila Chã, towards Esposende / Viana do Castelo.
According to E24, the driver of a van collided with the back of a truck and was trapped.
In the theater of operations, to help the victim, there are the Esposende Volunteer Firefighters and the Fão Volunteer Firefighters (BVF), with differentiated support from INEM through VMER.
“He is a seriously injured person who was taken to Braga Hospital. He was imprisoned by the wreckage,” Jorge Santos, deputy commandant of the BVF and commander of relief operations, confirmed to E24.
The area has been the target of criticism due to the danger it represents, due to the absence of a third lane for vehicles idling uphill. Situation complained by the mayor of Esposende.
The GNR, through the Viana do Castelo Traffic Brigade, recorded the incident.
