The price of beef, always present on the plate of Mato Grosso do Sul, fell 0.63% in April, according to research by the Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies (Dieese), released this Tuesday (7). However, according to the survey, the cost of the basket last month closed at R$732.75, an increase of 0.37% compared to March.
Dieese further explained that, to pay the full value of the basket, a worker needed to work an average of 109 hours and 54 minutes in April. This is equivalent to more than 4 days of uninterrupted work.
To explain the calculation, Dieese stated that the percentage of the net minimum wage allocated to the purchase of the basic food basket was 54.01%while in March this percentage was 53.29%.
Furthermore, the price of the basic food basket in Campo Grande (MS) is the 5th most expensive among the country’s capitals.
