Guardia Civil officer dies in road accident in Spain

UA Guardia Civil agent died this Tuesday when the motorbike he was riding collided with a car in the municipality of Quiroga, in Spain. Pedro Rodríguez Gómez was 47 years old and had been working in the Barco region detachment for around a year and a half.

The fatal victim was driving a motorcycle that collided with the back of a car in front of him. The accident happened at 6:15 pm, and an ambulance was immediately sent to the scene. However, paramedics were unable to save the police officer’s life.

According to La Voz de Galicia, the car was heavily damaged, while the policeman’s motorcycle only suffered some damage.

Pedro Gómez’s friends and family were at the scene of the accident and were devastated by the tragedy. The Guardia Civil from the provinces of Lugo and Ourense were also called to the scene.
