PHILADELPHIA — The Phillies have the best record in baseball, and Bryce Harper hasn’t even been on a prolonged tear yet.

But Harper is getting there. He hit a grand slam in the fourth inning of Tuesday night’s 10-1 victory over the Blue Jays at Citizens Bank Park, his third homer in as many games. He hit a 0-2 slur against Blue Jays right-hander José Berríos into the first row of seats in right field to give the Phillies an 8-0 lead.

Harper was batting .234 with six homers, 18 RBIs and an .820 OPS before Sunday.

He has three homers and 10 RBIs in three games since. He is the first Phillies player with three-plus homers and 10-plus RBIs in a three-game span since Harper did so on Aug. 14-16, 2019, when he had four homers and 10 RBIs.

Berríos has been one of Toronto’s only bright spots this season, having allowed only seven runs in his first seven starts this season.

He allowed eight in 3 2/3 innings against the Phillies.

It was the perfect night for the Phillies to deploy their Cristopher Sánchez-Spencer Turnbull piggyback. Turnbull got bumped from the rotation to the bullpen last week, following Taijuan Walker’s return from the injured list, despite posting a 1.67 ERA in six starts.

Sánchez allowed one run over seven innings. Turnbull pitched the final two.
