The musician Roberto de Carvalho, 71 years old, mourned the one year anniversary of Rita Lee’s death this Wednesday (8). The musician and widower of the rocker, to whom he was married for 27 years, shared an old photo taken with the artist and lamented how much he misses his wife.
“Bleed my heart and then, please, calm me down. Bring back my soul. Mitigate this desire to leave. So much love cannot end in pain. I will gather a lot of courage for the last trip to you. See you forever, my love”, wrote Roberto in the caption of the publication.
Rita Lee died at the age of 75 in May 2023 after undergoing treatment for lung cancer, with which she was diagnosed in 2021. In 2022, the singer declared that she had recovered from the disease.
Recently, Roberto de Carvalho attended the rehearsal of the musical in honor of Rita. The widower praised the protagonist’s performances Mel Lisboawho plays the Brazilian rock legend on stage, and Bruno Fragawhich represents it.
“Ah, how delightful to come across this little box of surprises. It’s like contemplating through invisible slits the story of my love and our story, performed by such talented kids who are so in tune in the musical and spiritual sense. It’s like traveling through time and space to other times when life was so intense for both of us,” said the musician.
