The fourth installment of the 2024 Urban Property and Land Property Tax (IPTU) for properties located in the city of Rio de Janeiro expires this Wednesday (8th). The payment guide can be issued via the carioca.rio website or the Carioca Digital app, allowing taxpayers to make payments via cell phone in a simpler and safer way.

Rio City Hall clarifies that, for greater convenience, it is possible to download and print all the guides with installments to be paid monthly at once, without the need to access the website monthly.
The municipality also warns about scams on the internet. The Department of Finance and Planning clarifies that it does not send communications or payment slips to taxpayers via WhatsApp or SMS. Therefore, if you receive a message of this type, the taxpayer should ignore it.
