Copom will move Ibovespa on Thursday, after decision

The market awaits the Copom’s decision, which comes after the end of business. A large part of the market expects a reduction, to 0.25 percentage points, in the size of the Selic rate cut. Agents will also pay attention to the voting score, which could give signs about the future of Brazilian monetary policy after the end of Roberto Campos Neto’s presidency at the Central Bank – the leader’s term ends at the end of this year.
