The IRS will auction items such as cell phones, electronics, watches, tablets, jewelry and household items. In total, 245 lots will be made available by customs at Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP).

Among the most prominent items are iPhones SE, which will have two offers per lot, with bids starting at R$1,200. There are at least 16 cell phones, available in lots 23 to 30. In lots 138, 139 and 140 there are Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners from R$800.

Another highlight of the auction is a rough emerald stone weighing 137 kg, mined in Bahia. The minimum bid amount is R$115 million.

Proposals can be sent from May 23rd to 27th. The classification and ordering of proposals will take place on the 28th, at 9 am, and the bidding session will take place afterwards, at 10 am.

In the notice, the IRS warns that cell phones and accessories cannot be sold after the auction, even if the winners are legal entities.

How to participate

Individuals and legal entities can participate in the auction. Access is via the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) with silver or gold level Gov.br account digital identities. Within the platform, you need to access the Electronic Auction System and choose the auction of interest. In this case, it is auction 0817700/000001/2024 – VIRACOPOS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

According to the Revenue, each proponent may submit a single proposal per batch, being able to change or exclude it until the end of the period foreseen for the submission of proposals.

Those who win the auction and do not pay the expected amount within the deadline lose the right to the items, will not be able to participate in other auctions or make contracts with the federal government for up to three years, in addition to having to pay a fine of 20% of the price minimum of what they won at auction within 30 days.
