Cineteatro do Parque resumes programming this Wednesday (8). Tickets are sold at popular prices: R$10 and R$5 (half).

“Resuming audiovisual programming in a facility with the past and charisma of Cineteatro do Parque is giving the city back a habit, resuming the writing of an important chapter in its cultural history. It is also a way of opening up new spaces for the production chain Recife audiovisual”, adds the president of the Cidade do Recife Culture Foundation, Marcelo Canuto.

The first film to be shown, on the 8th, 14th, 21st and 28th of May, always at 7pm, will be “Sem Coração”, written and directed by Nara Normande from Alagoas, who lived in Recife for two decades, and Tião from Pernambuco.

The film, which recently premiered in theaters across the country, after being shown at the Venice Festival and winning the Félix awards for Best Film and the Redentor for Best Cinematography, during the last Rio de Janeiro Film Festival, has lasting 1h31, and takes to the coast of Alagoas, during the summer of 1996, a drama about the afflictions and passions of a group of teenagers amid social and gender tensions.

In addition to the feature film, the short films made through the Recife Incluído project, an initiative of the Secretariat of Culture and Fundação de Cultura Cidade do Recife, with the support of the Secretariat of Social Development, will be shown at the premiere and in other Cinema no Parque sessions.
