Directed by Tatiana Issa and Guto Barra, the national series BRUTAL PACT: THE MURDER OF DANIELLA PEREZ portrays, in five episodes, details and the trial of the case that impacted Brazil in the 90s. The Max Original production arrives on the channel ID on May 12th, at 8:30 pm and is available on the Max platform.
The year was 1992, in the summer of December, when actress and dancer Daniella Perez was murdered by Guilherme de Pádua and his wife, Paula Thomaz, in a cruelly premeditated crime. The death of the 22-year-old girl shook the country. The murder of Daniella, daughter of International Emmy-winning Brazilian author and producer Gloria Perez, gained notoriety and occupied the front pages of national newspapers for years.
Three decades later, Gloria Perez reviewed the case for the first time. Alongside authorities in the case, family and close friends of Daniella Perez recall the artist’s trajectory and the traumas generated after the tragedy. Among them, Raul Gazolla, Claudia Raia, Fábio Assunção, Maurício Mattar, Cristina Oliveira and other Brazilian actors.
