In the state of Rio Grande do Sul, soybean prices rose again, while business remains expressionless, according to information released by TF Agroeconomic. “For delivery in May, the indication is R$ 136.50 per bag, with final payment in May. For delivery in June, the indicated price is R$ 139.80 per bag, with final payment in June. Inside, prices followed the guidelines for each square. In Cruz Alta, the price charged was R$ 129.50 per bag, with payment at the end of May”, he comments.
The high view in Santa Catarina was impressive. “In Santa Catarina, soybean prices are experiencing a significant increase due to the new appreciation of bran. In general, the foreign market dictates prices in the region very clearly. Only maintenance volumes were carried out. The price at the port was R$13.00 (+0.50), Chapecó at R$114.00 (+1.00)”, he adds.
The scenario in Paraná remains quite calm, in contrast to the worrying situation in Rio Grande do Sul, which has captured the attention of the whole of Brazil and diverted the focus from runoff. “According to informants in the region, commercialization in PR has already reached the base of 50%, being strongly ahead of most other states. This occurred with a continuous effort of small flows, as in general we do not see alarming volumes on the intraday. Prices in Ponta Grossa were R$ 118.00”, he indicates.
In Mato Grosso do Sul prices started at maintenance. “However, this trend was quickly reversed, yesterday we saw very significant increases and today we see a calmer market, with part of the concern focused on the alarming situation in the south. Today the volumes drained were much lower, approximately 10,000 tons were carried out”, he informs.
In Mato Grosso, business continues to flow. “Soybean prices in Mato Grosso are maintaining themselves, following the trend observed in the last trading session. Despite this, negotiations are still low in significance. It is estimated that approximately 5,000 tons have been sold”, he concludes.
