A success story often starts in an unlikely place. This is the case of Eureka Coworking, a network of shared offices, which began its operation in a garage, in Vila Mariana. Founded in 2014 by the couple of partners, Daniel and Fanny Moral, the company started with just 12 positions and one meeting room. Today, the chain stands out in the market, occupying more than 4,500 m² in units based in São Paulo, Campinas and Lisbon, in addition to serving more than 1400 customers, including the giants CVC Corp, the construction company Pacaembu, Keyrus and Linx. Last year, the enterprise recorded revenue of R$10 million.

The commitment to innovation and social impact contributed to the project meeting expectations. “Eureka was created with the aim of bringing projects and new ideas, aiming to transform the space around us into a hub of innovation. From the beginning, we have been concerned with promoting community events and urban revitalization projects, solidifying the brand not just as a coworking, but as a social movement dedicated to community transformation”, highlights Daniel Moral, CEO of the company.

In 2018, with the arrival of a new partner-investor, Eureka opened a new space, initially with two floors, located on Av. Paulista. In the following year, the chain maintained the accelerated pace of expansion and opened two spaces in Campinas to meet the demands of strategic clients such as Sympla and Quinto Andar, and another being its first international space, in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

In 2020, the pandemic tested the network’s resilience. And, despite the adverse scenario, the company managed to keep the business sustainable. According to CBRE, the office vacancy rate in São Paulo fell by half a percentage point in the fourth quarter of 2023, even with the increase in the number of new spaces – equivalent to almost three times the amount in 2022. Eureka itself took advantage of the growth in sector and surpassed the number of clients last year – 58% being large companies, 32% Startups and 10% MEI/self-employed professionals -, which represents a 10% growth in the partner portfolio. Currently, the coworking vacancy rate is 10%.

All of Eureka’s growth is accompanied by a culture based heavily on social DNA. Transcending the conventional idea of a coworking space, the company’s pillars are a commitment to urban mobility and support for community actions, promoting an environment where work and activism intertwine.

To this end, the company contributes to several projects aimed at social and urban causes such as Cheguei de Bike, Cidade a pé, Pedale-se, Recomeçar and Gerando Falcões. Furthermore, the decoration of its spaces with graffiti and urban art reflects this philosophy.

The initiative Bike Tour SP, co-created by Daniel, is another example of this commitment, promoting bicycle tours that incorporate culture and solidarity when exploring routes in the capital. Collecting a ton of food per month, the project has already impacted more than 80 thousand people, becoming a reference in tourism and contributing to the fundamental social values of Eureka. “All these actions happen because Eureka has always wanted to go beyond the work environment. We are not just a space, but a movement, a meeting point for connections”, details the founder.

Eureka currently offers flexible solutions, ranging from built to suit and shared offices to spaces for corporate events. With a complete infrastructure, which includes microphones, presentation screens and the like, the environment, which has already been used by brands such as Pernambucanas, Housi, Itaú and Porto Seguro, can accommodate up to 200 people. “Each space was designed to help companies and self-employed professionals increase their efficiency, reducing costs and boosting business productivity, with quality and comfort”, concludes Moral.
