Mother’s Day Special: Businesswoman talks about challenges after her son’s accident

Carried out by the Municipal Communication Secretariat, the program Canal Direto com a Prefeitura, special for Mother’s Day, May 12, interviewed this Thursday (9) the pasta businessman in Araraquara, Elenice Supesche.

Elenice, who is the mother of an only son, Fernando Supesche, said that she will soon be a grandmother, in addition to having a teenage grandson, “a grandson from my heart, Guilherme”, as she added.

The interviewee revealed that she became a pasta businesswoman after a remarkable event in her life. “Lê Massas emerged from an accident suffered by Fernando, when he was 19 years old,” she said.

As the young man lost one of his feet in the accident and his mother did not have the financial resources to buy a prosthesis, Elenice started selling gnocchi pasta, made by a lady who already delivered them baked.

“We managed to reach a high level of sales of this pasta and, with that, we acquired the prosthesis so that Fernando could once again carry out his activities normally”, he explained.

The businesswoman also said that she was very scared when she found out about the accident, and that she went through a very difficult period as the mother of a person with a physical disability.

“The world opened up and I fell into a hole due to a previously unknown fact, which I never imagined I would encounter. It was desperate to see Fernando admitted to hospital after the accident, although the most important fact at that moment was that he was alive”, he stated.

From then on, Elenice Supesche started working hard at the company in order to move forward. “Especially because he was a young man, fully capable of recovering and living normally.”

Elenice highlighted that she now wants to continue working for her future grandchild, expected to arrive in June. “I always had a dream of having a grandson and that’s why I want to have a lot of fun as a grandmother, fly kites and travel a lot with him”, she projected.

Faith with strength

For mothers or grandmothers who have children or grandchildren with a disability, Elenice suggested that no one stop fighting, always with their head held high, so that they have everything they need. And keep the faith, never get discouraged, because the most difficult moments will be overcome, even if it takes time.

At the end of the interview, Elenice was moved after receiving a loving message from her own son, Fernando.
