Gabrielli Rodrigues da Silva, 24, is looking for one of her four children in Rio Grande do Sul. Agnes da Silva Vicente, aged seven months, reportedly fell into the water while rescuing flood victims in the city of Canoas, metropolitan region of Porto Alegre , last Saturday.

The city hall coordinates with hospitals and health units where the child may have been taken. The Civil Police are sweeping the shelters and reception spaces, requesting information and distributing photos of the girl.

Understand the case

The boat where the family was was said to have capsized during the rescue of the family, who were in the house where they lived, in the Harmonia neighborhood. That’s when the baby was washed away, according to reports.

Agnes has a twin sister: Ágata. She and Gabrielli’s other daughter, aged 7, were taken to Hospital da Ulbra, where they remain under care. Yuri, 2 years old, is staying with his parents on a university campus in Canoas.
