If you want to fill up your car, it’s best to wait a few more days as fuel prices will fall again next Monday, which if confirmed will be the third consecutive week of falling gasoline and diesel prices.

According to “ECO”, next Monday, May 13th, the prices of simple 95 gasoline should register a drop of 3 cents per liter to reach an average price of €1,756 per liter.

Simple diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal, is expected to register a drop of half a cent per liter, to €1,565.

If these forecasts are confirmed, it will be the third consecutive week of a fall in fuel prices, after this week that is ending, the price of diesel has fallen by two cents and that of gasoline by 2.2 cents, meeting the expectations of the Marketplace.

The publication specialized in economic matters states that these prices already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the review of temporary tax measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices. The tax reduction determined by the measures currently in force is 25 cents per liter of diesel and 26 cents per liter of gasoline.
