The black van stops near Cacau and three men come out and kidnap her. Heitor shoots fruitlessly at the van. Valdemar and Regina then arrive at the scene, with Heitor telling them that Cacau was kidnapped. They follow at high speed behind the van.

Tiago recovers his senses, remembering seeing Cacau and Pipa. He stops in shock when he sees Pipa dead. Nelson, now dressed, prepares to return to prison with Heitor’s motorcycle. He keeps a photograph of his daughters with him, throwing the frame onto the sofa. Justino asks Salomão to find out more details about Pipa’s death from the police and they leave. Sal calls Rui, being pleased with the good news that he has discovered a witness who proves that it was Filó who threw acid in Chiquinha’s face. Sal is shocked when she reads the news of the murder at Tiago’s house, thinking with joy that it was Cacau who died. Cláudia continues to be very worried about Pipa, thinking that something has really happened to her. Vasco and Anita try to put things into perspective. Vasco receives a call from Martim saying that Pipa has died. Cláudia bursts into tears, devastated. In an open field, Nelson burns the clothes he used in his attempt to kill Cacau and which led to Pipa’s death. He controls himself not to cry thinking about his daughter.

The van stops at a service station, Cacau begins to regain consciousness without the men noticing. Heitor and Valdemar prepare for the mission to rescue Cacau. Regina asks them not to kill the men so they can find out who ordered Cacau’s kidnapping. The van is parked behind the service station, Cacau wakes up and thinks how he can escape. The men are alarmed because they are throwing stones at the van, and are surprised by Heitor and Valdemar, who attack them. Cacau takes advantage of the confusion to escape. Cacau runs away through the bush, doesn’t notice a hole in the ground and falls inside, ending up fainting. Valdemar manages to neutralize the man he was fighting and runs to where Cacau fled. Heitor is unable to neutralize the other men and they go after Valdemar. The men attack Valdemar, only to see Cacau lying in the hole. They are going to get her out of there when they are shot in the head by Hector, dying. Valdemar reproachfully tells Heitor that he shouldn’t have done that because now they will never find out who ordered Cacau’s kidnapping.

Valdemar and Heitor arrive with Cacau passed out. They wonder what to do because Cacau needs medical treatment, but they can’t take her to the hospital because she is accused of Pipa’s death.
