Medialivre’s new information television project will occupy position 9 on the three television operators and will start by the summer. Business will have a program on the air and participation in the analysis of economic and political topics.

Negócios will be present on Medialivre’s new information channel, Now, with a daily program dedicated to current economic, political and financial markets.

Now, presented this Friday in the future studios, will air until the summer in position 9 on the Meo, Nos and Vodafone grids. The new information television project will also feature spaces dedicated to the Sábado, Record and Máxima brands.

The daily Negócios program will focus on the topics covered in the newspaper and exclusive interviews, framing them with economic current affairs and the evolution of the main issues that mark the day in the financial markets. In addition, the specialized journalists from Negócios will also have space on the Now antenna for analysis throughout the informative day.

“Innovative, modern and sober”

In the channel’s presentation, Luís Santana, CEO of Medialivre, stated that “NewsNow is the first major journalistic project to be born at Medialivre, just five months after its creation”.

“It will make a difference in the national television panorama, with in-depth journalism, contributing to a real enlightenment of our viewers, seeking to captivate audiences that are away from television” because they no longer identify with traditional channels, especially young people, he reinforced.

Luís Santana has no doubt that it will be a winning bet. Therefore, he is confident that, “in the future, [as operadoras] They will say it was a fair and logical decision.”

Carlos Rodrigues, editorial general director, explained in the presentation that Now will be “innovative, modern, sober and elegant”. “We will closely monitor politics, economics, diplomacy and European construction”, he explained, areas that will count on the contribution of the editorial staff of ‘Negócios’, the newspaper ‘Record’, ‘Sábado’ and ‘Máxima’.

In the field of economic information, Jornal de Negócios will contribute with “analysis and in-depth knowledge of the main current topics”, explained Business director, Diana Ramos.
