The last day of the Madeira Wine Rally was marked by the fatal run over of an 8-year-old girl.
CNN Portugal and CMTV revealed several times the video of the moment in which the 8-year-old girl is fatally run over, at Rally Vinho Madeira.
The accident took place this Saturday, August 6th, when a group of people crossed the road after one of the cars had passed, without realizing that another was right behind, the group crossed the road and the girl was picked up, ending up dying in the hospital.
An amateur video shows the moment of the child’s impact and CNN Portugal and CMTV showed it in their broadcasts.
“The Madeira Wine Rally Organizing Committee and the Tasting Direction regret to confirm that the young woman involved in the incident that occurred during PEC 17 Rosário 2, ended up not being able to resist the injuries suffered. At this painful moment, we address our feelings to family and friends.
In social networks, there are many criticisms of the two information channels. “Garbage channels, lack of respect for the child and the family, be ashamed”, “They make a spectacle of the misfortune of others. Zero respect. Zero ethics”, “Anything really goes for these people. No respect and ethics is zero. Sadness”, “Journalism rubbish. Respect the child’s family” or “Respect people”, are some of the examples.
