Poland will demand explanations from Russia about the violation of airspace last night, when a cruise missile, which was destined for Ukrainian territory, invaded Polish airspace for 39 seconds.

The missile will have traveled around two kilometers and, as a result, Air Force aircraft were mobilized, said the command in the region.

“Due to the violation of Polish airspace by a cruise missile launched by a long-range aircraft of the Russian Federation, all procedures were immediately initiated” wrote the Minister of Defense on the social network X.

This is not the first time something like this has happened: in April last year, parts of a Russian missile were found in Poland and in December, a Russian missile entered Polish airspace.

In addition to the request for explanations, Warsaw demands that the Kremlin stop terrorist air strikes on Ukrainian territory.

Kiev and Lviv under Russian fire at night

Last night was one of intense shelling on Ukrainian soil. In the capital, Kiev, loud explosions were heard after Russian drone and missile attacks.

Ukrainian authorities say defense systems shot down 18 of 29 missiles launched by Russia and 25 of 28 drones. The Dnipro region was also affected by the attacks.

There are damaged power lines and thousands of people without electricity. Overnight, more than 150 homes and schools were left without heat.
