UA pest controller who says he has already caught 50,000 rodents – including one the size of a dog – warns that these animals are getting “bigger and bolder”.

Kieran Sampler, 29, who works at the Yorkshire Rat Pack, told the Mirror that the biggest rat he ever caught was 55cm from head to tail – twice the body length of a Chihuahua.

According to the man, most of the rats he captures are around 45 centimeters long.

“Rats are getting bigger, bolder and more brazen. They are less concerned about humans, cats or anything”he added, stressing that the increasing waste of food on the streets and less pest control during the pandemic gave rise to this growth.

In the same interview, the man reveals how he trained his two dogs, the terriers Poppy and Penny, to capture rodents in domestic and commercial environments, mainly on agricultural land.
