Several horses ran loose through central London on Wednesday morning, with the army being called in to help locate them, according to Reuters, citing police in the British capital.

According to Reuters, the London Ambulance Service was called at 8:25 am after being informed that a person had been thrown from a horse on the road to Buckingham Palace.

“The incident is still ongoing and we are working with our emergency services partners,” the Westminster Police spokesperson added. However, City of London police later revealed that officers had taken control of two horses and were preparing to transport them for veterinary care.

According to the Telegraph, five Cavalry horses broke loose during exercises at the Horse Guards Parade in Westminster, close to Buckingham Palace and the Whitehall government district.
