OThe two hostages identified themselves as Keith Siegel, 64, and Omri Miran, 47, and the Hostage Family Forum confirmed their identities.
The Palestinian Islamist movement had already released a video on Wednesday of another Israeli hostage, 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg-Polin.
The new video is undated, but Omri Miran said it had been in the hands of Hamas for 202 days, which, counting the days since the attack in which the hostages were taken, corresponds to Thursday.
The new information comes in the context of negotiations, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, for a truce in the fighting in the Gaza Strip associated with the release of several hostages.
Apparently speaking under duress, Omri Miran described “a difficult situation” due to “numerous Israeli bombings” in the Gaza Strip and called on his family to pressure the government to reach an agreement with Hamas that would allow the release.
The families of the hostages taken by Hamas in the October attack, who formed a Forum, consider that this “proof of the lives of Keith Siegel and Omri Miran makes it clear that the Israeli government must do everything possible to reach an agreement for the return of all hostages before Independence Day”, which is celebrated on May 14th.
“The State of Israel must choose: hostages or war. Entering Rafah will bring more hostages dead in captivity or their death in war. Entering Rafah will be another path to the death of the hostages. Israel must choose the return of the hostages”, argue.
To the News by the Minutethe Comunidade Israelita do Porto reported that Omri Miran had made a request to obtain Portuguese nationality which had not yet been granted, since “the registry office came up against the requirements that the Government imposed on March 18, 2022”.
Still according to the same source, family members of hostage Omri Miran were in Porto on February 8, 2024, “as part of a group of parents and brothers of hostages Omer Shem Tov, Or Levy, Tsachi Eitan and Or Levy”.

The organization representing the families of the hostages has called for the dismissal of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a time when his war cabinet is threatening to attack Rafah, where around 1.2 million displaced people and 200,000 residents live.
At least 34,200 people died and more than 77,000 were injured in the war that Israel launched in the Gaza Strip, in retaliation for the attack by the Islamist movement Hamas on Israeli territory, which left 1,163 dead, most of them civilians, and 250 hostages, around 130 of them. of whom remain in captivity and 34 have since died, according to the most recent report by Israeli authorities.
The conflict, ongoing for more than six months, has also displaced almost two million people, plunging the Palestinian enclave into a serious humanitarian crisis, with more than 1.1 million people in a “situation of catastrophic hunger” that is claiming victims – “the highest number ever recorded” by the UN in studies on food security in the world.
