Russia threatens West with “harsh response”

-

Russia threatens the West with a “severe response” if frozen Russian assets are used to help Ukraine. The Kremlin promises “endless” legal challenges and retaliatory measures.

In total, there are around 300 billion euros in frozen assets, much of it in European financial institutions.

Over the past week, Russia and Ukraine have been targeting energy facilities in both countries.

Kiev indicates that 21 Russian missiles have been intercepted since Friday, with some gas production and storage plants damaged. Moscow also announced that it had intercepted 17 Ukrainian drones near an oil reservoir in a city south of Moscow.

Ukraine struggling to mobilize young people

More than two years after the Russian invasion, Ukraine is having difficulty mobilizing young people.

There is increasing pressure on President Zelensky to lower the recruitment age, which at the beginning of the month had already been reduced from 27 to 25 years old.
