O The moment in which a Bull Terrier dog is abandoned by its owner in the middle of a road in Long Beach, California, United States, is moving internet users. The animal was placed outside the car and, for several blocks, tried to reach the vehicle, but without success.
The video, recorded by a food delivery driver, was shared last Wednesday. According to the man, the big dog was pushed out of the car and was desperately trying to catch up, even after he had accelerated and left the animal behind.
A woman, an animal lover, saw the video – which left her heartbroken – and decided to contact the complainant.
“When I saw the video, I was heartbroken. I couldn’t stop crying, I couldn’t keep the dog out of my mind,” says Destiny Gomez, quoted by NBC Los Angeles.
Destiny shared the images on her social networks to recruit helpers to find the dog and, within hours, it was located.
The big dog, who was named Chico, was taken by the young woman, who fed him. The animal was given a temporary foster family in Palos Verdes until a permanent home is found.
