Another video recorded in Guarulhos, where Joca was sent back, shows the animal already dead. The dog’s owner, João Fantazzini, appears petting the animal, still locked in the airline box where it was transported.
“There was no veterinarian in Fortaleza to confirm that he was not fit to take another flight,” João told Domingo Espetacular. “He got out of here fine.”
Images recorded when Joca started the trip show that the animal was docile and healthy. An airline employee seals the box where he would be transported. She says he is “calm” and, finally, that he will be the last to board because he has a right place to stay in the aircraft’s hold.
In the interviews, João said again that Joca’s shipping box had several labels: for Manaus, Sinop and Fortaleza. There was also an indication, on the tag, of a 13 kilo dog, as well as a label with the name “Kiara”.
It is not a shipping of a box that you send. They have to have the same responsibility as someone on the plane. Why didn’t they take care of him? Why didn’t they open the box and take him out of the box?
