UAn 18-year-old girl taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023 and released on November 25 assured, in an interview with the Keshet 12 News television channel, shown last week, that one of the kidnappers fell in love with her and even asked her to marry him.
Noga Weiss and her mother, Shiri, were among the group of 240 people transported to Gaza on October 7, after the terrorist group invaded Israel and attacked a music festival.
Two weeks after the kidnapping, one of the terrorists said he was in love with her and gave her a promise ring, which the young woman wore from the “14th day until the 50th” of captivity, when she was released.
“Everyone will be released, but you will stay in Gaza and have my children”, the terrorist said to the young woman, scaring her.
Until then, Noga thought his mother was dead, but the terrorist in love brought Shiri to his daughter to ask for her hand in marriage.
“He asked my mother, ‘Do you authorize it?’ She gave a fake laugh. We were afraid they would kill us. She was gentle at first, but then she started screaming until he got the message. I thought they were going to get tired and kill me”, said the Israeli, adding that “their mood changed quickly. One minute they were joking and laughing, the next they were pointing their weapons”.
From that point on, Noga was forced to walk hand in hand with him so that they “looked like a couple” whenever they changed captivity. The young woman was also forced to wear a hijab.
Later, Noga discovered that the terrorist who had proposed to her was among the Hamas members who killed her father, Ilan, which angered her even more.
The Israeli was eventually released, along with her mother, several weeks later, on November 25th. She now intends to enlist in the Israeli army to fight Hamas.
It should be remembered that around 100 hostages kidnapped in October last year by Hamas are still under the control of this terrorist group.
