PDo you think you know how to brush your teeth well? That was before I knew that, after all, we should wet the brush before putting on the toothpaste. This is advice from dentist Ferakh Hamid to prevent teeth from turning yellow.
As Bristol Live writes, the dentist says that, “before you start brushing your teeth, it’s a good idea to wet your brush.” “This small step makes it easier to spread the toothpaste across all your teeth, making cleaning more effective,” he explained.

“Plus, when you get the bristles wet, they soften. This means that when you brush, it’s gentler on your gums and teeth, helping to avoid any irritation or damage,” he also explained. This is because, “brushing your teeth in certain ways, such as without water or right after eating acidic foods, can, in fact, make them less white over time.” As such, “dry brushing may seem good for removing surface stains at first. But without water, the toothpaste doesn’t spread well, causing teeth to become dull,” warns the specialist at the Aesthetique Dental Care clinic , in the United Kingdom.
If you don’t have this habit, don’t worry. Just remember that “a little water on the brush can make a big difference in keeping your mouth clean”, concluded the dentist.
