UAn orthopedic doctor from Santa Casa de São Paulo, in Brazil, was filmed by other health professionals sexually abusing a woman during surgery at the end of April. The man, against whom accusations of sexual abuse were already pending, was removed by the unit.
During the procedure, the doctor was caught touching the genitals of the patient, who was sedated, reported g1.
The incident was filmed by other health professionals, who forwarded the images to the management of Santa Casa.
The entity said that it had received an anonymous complaint of sexual harassment, having removed the accused health professional.
Furthermore, an internal investigation was launched, so that “the privacy of the alleged victim is preserved”, which is being monitored with “assistance and reception”.
The Santa Casa also assured that it “vehemently repudiates any act of harassment or harassment that harms human dignity.”
Other health professionals told g1 that the doctor was reported for rape when he was still in college.
