A 77-year-old Portuguese man was murdered on his agricultural property in the Western Cape province, the Portuguese Forum of South Africa announced today, in Johannesburg, the country’s economic capital.
Speaking to Lusa, the leader of the Portuguese-South African non-governmental organization (NGO), Manny Ferreirinha, said that the organization is accompanying the victim’s family in the police investigation of the homicide, without providing details.
The community leader sent more information to the Facebook page of the Portuguese community of Mossel Bay, on the coast of the country, which shared the news this afternoon.

José Camacho, 77 years old, was found dead on Wednesday, May 1st, his birthday, with several injuries to his head and back, and his residence had been looted, according to a family source.
The crime is being investigated by the South African police, he said.
José Camacho lived on the Eenzaamheid agricultural property, near Vredenburg, a town on the Cape West Coast, in the Western Cape province, southern South Africa, according to the local community.
