The house with swimming pool found by the Military Police during the repossession action of Residencial Brasil 21, located in the Contorno Leste region, in Cuiabá, is designed by architects with extensive experience in the field of high-end construction, in the capital of Mato Grosso . Images showing the property under construction went viral on social media this Tuesday (12) and caused outrage, as the people who invaded the region were said to be “homeless”.

For the construction of one of the houses, an architecture company was hired to design and build the residence in the middle of the invaded property. On social media, images of the house caught attention, as the structure and masonry already gave evidence that the property would be a construction of, at the very least, a high standard.

A plaque fixed to the wall, outside the lot, proves that the house was designed by an architectural company. The company is ‘famous’ for designing high-standard properties in well-known condominiums, such as Florais da Mata and Vale.

On the sign, you can see that the project includes, in addition to the swimming pool that was already installed, a medium-sized, modern house with two floors, large glass windows and facades with straight lines.

The squatters’ main justification for illegally occupying the region was the lack of financial resources to legally acquire land to live on. However, just the fiberglass pool can easily cost around R$20,000, depending on the dimensions and structures of the land.

The hiring of an architecture company, the high standard aspects of the construction and the installation of the pool highlight the owner’s purchasing power.
