The State Public Library (Rua Riachuelo, 1190), in the Historic Center, in Porto Alegre, is promoting this Saturday, March 2nd, from 12pm to 6pm, the literary party ‘BPE + Cultura’, in front of its building. In case of rain, exhibitors will set up stalls inside the library.
In this edition, the highlights are the celebration of Chinese New Year, with the presentation of the Lion Dance, followed by a conversation about the classics of Chinese literature and his lessons on Buddhism, with professor Rafael Beltrame. Afterwards, there will be a performance by the tango group Ocho Adelante and an old-fashioned Tango parade”, by L. Anne Criações.
While the program includes music, storytelling and book sales on the street, inside the Library the public will be able to enjoy the exhibition “Culture and its peculiarities”, by artist Eduardo Carvalho.
