Doctor from Pernambuco, Sumaya Mahon, launches biographical book “While I slept. Revelations of love and faith”, by the publisher A Caroá. In the book, written by Nadezhda Bezerra, Sumaya and her husband Felipe give a revealing and moving account of the period in which the doctor suffered an accident and was in a coma. She reveals what it was like to go through a deep sleep experience, while he recounts the family’s suffering, hope and struggle to bring her back to life.
According to the biographer, given the transcendental experience she experienced during the period she slept, her first memories upon returning from the coma were the certainty that she would have the mission to write a book. The couple waited ten years for this mission to be realized. Faced with the insistence of family, friends, as well as acquaintances and patients, and the meeting with writer and biographer Nadezhda Bezerra, the desire to share the near-death experience with other people finally came true.
