sand received an email on behalf of the Tax and Customs Authority (AT) about an alleged tax refund, be careful because it could be fraud.

“AT is aware that some taxpayers are receiving emails supposedly coming from AT, referring to a possible refund, in which they are asked to click on a link“, can be read in a note published on the Finance Portal.

The tax authorities say that “these messages are fake and should be ignored” and that “its objective is to convince the recipient to access malicious pages by clicking on the suggested links”.

“Under no circumstances should you carry out this operation”, recommends AT.

AT also recommends reading the informative leaflet on Information Security available on the Finance Portal.​
