BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles (EV and PHEV) and electric batteries, reached a historic milestone by recording the production of seven million vehicles. Find out which was the seven millionth vehicle to be produced.

 

DENZA N7: BYD's seventh millionth vehicle to be produced

According to the manufacturer itself, the seventh millionth vehicle produced was a DENZA N7. It is a top-of-the-range all-electric crossover, under the professional sub-brand DENZA. The brand has consistently been at the forefront of technological advancements, with innovations such as the BYD Blade Battery, e-Plaftorm 3.0, and Cell to Body (CTB) technology.

According to the statement sent to Pplware, BYD reached the milestone of 1 million new energy vehicles produced in May 2021, having quickly multiplied this number by three in just 18 months, surpassing 5 million units produced in just 9 additional months. In just 7 months after this latest milestone, BYD accelerated to the 7 million unit production milestone, demonstrating a robust end-to-end supply chain and scale effect.

In 2023, BYD's cumulative annual sales reached 3.02 million units.

To date, BYD's new energy passenger vehicles have been introduced in 64 countries and regions around the world, with strategic investments in production facilities in Thailand, Brazil, Uzbekistan and Hungary.
