FlixBus continues to have several limitations when operating in Portugal, namely being able to access some terminals, such as Coimbra and Faro.

“We continue to be unable to access many of the terminals in Portugal, such as Coimbra or Faro, where FlixBus passengers do not have the minimum comfort or safety conditions”, says Pablo Pastega, General Director of FlixBus for Portugal and Spain.

Despite the constraints, the operator announced yesterday that it will have 124 daily trips between Lisbon and Porto this Easter, and will increase domestic connections by 25%, 65% in international connections to France, and 70% in connections to Spain.

After Lisbon and Porto, the Algarve is the third most popular destination on FlixBus. Lagos and Portimão are the cities with the most demand, followed by Faro and Albufeira, which will have an increase in supply of around 40% in domestic trips alone. In fourth place are connections to the city of Coimbra.

Connections to Spain and France will also be reinforced during this holiday period: Vigo, Seville, Madrid and Salamanca are the Spanish cities with the most demand within the international network. In total, there is an increase of more than 70% in international connections from Porto, Lisbon and Faro. Regarding international connections to France, the cities of Paris, Bordeaux and Marseille are those with the greatest demand. In total, there is an increase of around 65% in the offer on these international lines between Portugal and France.

Still with regard to travel, there are new lines on the FlixBus domestic network in Portugal. Starting this week, it is now possible to travel from Lisbon and Viseu to Tondela, which becomes one of the new cities to join the FlixBus network.

In addition to these, Fundão becomes part of the FlixBus domestic network, making it possible to travel from this Beira-Baixa city to Guarda or Lisbon.
