More than 2.7 million taxpayers have already submitted their IRS declaration

-

O Finance Portal already records the delivery of more than 2.7 million IRS declarations on the 24th day of the deadline for taxpayers to declare income obtained in 2023, according to available official data.

According to the Finance Portal, As of 1:28 am this Wednesday, 2,785,958 declarations had been submittedwith the majority (2,120,085) being taxpayers who last year only had income from dependent employment (category A) and/or pensions (category H).

Declarations from taxpayers with other types of income totaled around 665,873.

It should be noted that in both cases the numbers include the approximately 40 thousand declarations that had already been submitted this year and which relate to replacement declarations or first deliveries of income relating to previous years – therefore not integrating the current IRS campaign.

In last year’s campaign, around six million IRS declarations were settled, of which 32.7% were submitted through the Automatic IRS and 67.3% manually.

The deadline for submitting the annual IRS declaration ends on June 30th, with the law determining that settlements must be completed by July 31st and refunds paid by August 31st. The end of August is also the deadline for taxpayers who did not withhold at source or did so in an insufficient amount, to pay the tax calculated by the Tax and Customs Authority (AT).
