Stellantis automotive group with 12% drop in revenue in the first quarter of 2024

The car manufacturing group Stellantis, led by Portuguese manager Carlos Tavares, achieved net revenue of 41.7 billion euros in the first quarter of 2024, a drop of 12% compared to the same period of the previous year.

This drop is due, according to the group’s explanation in a statement released this Tuesday, “mainly to the volume, the mix and adverse exchange rate effects, partially offset by solid net prices.”

Consolidated deliveries amounted to 1,335 thousand units, a drop of 10% which, according to the group, “reflects production actions and management of stock to prepare for the new wave of products in the second half of 2024, compared to the elevated deliveries in the first quarter of 2023 to build inventory after a prolonged period of supply constraints.”

Global sales of electric and hybrid cars increased by 8% and 13%, respectively, compared to the first quarter of 2023.

The ordinary dividend of 1.55 euros per share (16% increase compared to the previous year) approved at the general meeting must be paid to shareholders on May 3, 2024.
