With the seizure of Cid’s cell phone by the PF, other discoveries came to light: he had exchanged messages with fugitive blogger Allan dos Santos discussing the need for a military coup. Documents and other conversations connected to a plot to carry out a coup d’état were also discovered.
In September last year, a plea bargain was reached and Cid was granted provisional release.

Just over six months later, audio leaked after one of his statements last week showed a conversation in which he claims he was pressured to report facts that did not happen and to detail events about which he had no knowledge.
Shortly after the leak of the audios, on Thursday night, Cid’s lawyers released a note in which they said that the audios were nothing more than “an outburst”.
The first consequence of the audio leak was a call for a new testimony, which took place in the early afternoon of this Friday, at the STF (collected by judge Airton Vieira, assistant judge in the office of minister Alexandre de Moraes). The testimony lasted an hour and Cid was arrested. The arrest was determined for non-compliance with precautionary measures imposed against Cid and for obstruction of justice.
