Pepe became, this Tuesday, the footballer with the most games played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, as a result of both Portuguese internationals playing for the national team, against Slovenia, in Ljubljana.
The FC Porto defender was tied with Karim Benzema at the top of the list, with 342 games, thus ending up making his 343rd appearance in the company of CR7. Also left behind are names like Sergio Ramos (339) and Marcelo (332), according to the ESPN.
It should be noted that, in addition to dozens of games for the national team, Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo also crossed paths at Real Madrid, between 2009 and 2017.
