Dafter knowing the request from the Spanish Public Prosecutor’s Office for a sentence of two and a half years in prison for Rubiales, former president Royal Spanish Football Federation, alleging a crime of sexual abuse and coercion due to the case of the non-consensual kiss with Jenni Hermoso, new details emerged this Thursday that appear in the MP’s indictment. The Spanish player was pressured by several figures from the RFEF, as stated in the document to which the TO THE had access.
Hermoso suffered “a situation of harassment that prevented her from living in peace, calmly and freely”, and Rubiales quickly went to “ask the player to participate in a public declaration to accept the kiss received”, something that the Spanish international refused.
The pressure on Hermoso continued for the bus and the flight back to Spain, after the Women’s World Cup final, in Sydney, Australia.
The climate of coercion continued in Ibiza, where the Spanish team was for a few days to celebrate winning the World Cup, and at this stage it was Albert Luque, former director of the men’s team, who took action, trying to take advantage of the good relationship people who used to hang out with Jenni Hermoso.
Luque even went to the hotel in Ibiza to try to convince Hermoso to participate in a video that Luis Rubiales would later share on social media, but the “player denied it”. The former manager insisted through messages on WhatsApp, but ended up speaking to a friend of the player, to “express his anger”, accusing her of being a “bad person”, wishing her to be “alone” and that “I would be happy if that happened.”
Remember that the Public Prosecutor’s Office also requests a year and a half in prison for Albert Luque, for the crime of coercion, as well as for Jorge Vilda, former national team coach, Rúben Rivera, former marketing director of the RFEF.
