Whiquinho recalled, in an interview with SIC, the times spent working for Benfica, a club from which he left in the last transfer market, in January, to sign for Olympiacos. The Portuguese midfielder assured that he had good memories at Luz and remembered the day that Jorge Jesus lost his patience with Everton Cebolinha during the Eagles’ game.
“I’m going to tell you this [história] and I don’t think Cebolinha will take it badly, as he is a great player. An ace”, Chiquinho began by remembering, continuing.
“At one point JJ was leaning against the line and he [o Everton] he was on JJ’s side and lost a ball or a play that he couldn’t finish. JJ, nervous and with those things of his, turned back and said: ‘Oh João [de Deus], who is this player we brought? Is he the twin brother or what?’. These are stories that stick, that are funny. We laughed a lot with him [Jorge Jesus]”, said Chiquinho, between laughs.
It should be noted that Everton Cebolinha was at the club for two seasons, between 2020 and 2022, ending up returning to Brazil through Flamengo.
