Gal Costa’s son recognized, in court, the singer’s widow as his second mother, reveals video – Zoeira

Currently in conflict with his mother’s widow, Wilma Petrillo, the singer’s son Gal CostaGabriel Costa Penna Burgos, 18 years old, acknowledged, in a hearing held last year by the São Paulo Court, that Petrillo was his second mother. In a video, released this Monday (1st), the young man, aged 17 at the time, details that the artist and his partner chose him, together, in the foster home where he lived.

“For me, [Petrillo] She was my second mother. Like, I treated her like I treated my mother”, said the boy at the time, according to a recording obtained by the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo.

In a note to the vehicle, Burgos’s office regretted “the use of personal issues to support a narrative that does not match the reality of the facts nor is it relevant to the case at hand.”

At the hearing, held in March 2023, the young man presents himself to the judge and responds to the widow’s request to take custody of him — at the time, a minor —, which was granted. According to the newspaper, on the same occasion, he spoke about Wilma’s request to obtain, in court, the recognition of stable union with the artist. During the session, Burgos signed a document confirming the relationship and also stated that he had always lived at the same address, a house in the Jardins neighborhood, in São Paulo, with both of them.

Less than a year after the hearing, the boy changed his mind and, in January of this year, he hired a team of lawyers to work on annulling the document he signed. He questions the fraction claimed by Petrillo of the inheritance left by Gal.

To the FantasticBurgos said to have been coerced by the widow to sign the document. Currently, he even denies that the two had a romantic relationship and claims that Petrillo was just a friend who managed her mother’s career.

Petrillo denies having coerced the young man and told the program Rede Globo who was always Gal’s companion and, although she was not in the documentation, always acted as Burgos’ mother. For her, the change in the young man’s behavior was caused by a relationship he has with a woman 30 years older — the mother of an ex-girlfriend. The boy claims that he sought legal help on his own.
