The miniseries follows the artist’s journey from his childhood in Armadouro, where he dealt with hunger and poverty, to his years of immigration to France, the beginning of his career and the fight for success until his acclaim as one of the greatest Portuguese romantic singers. Each episode, reflecting the songs that give it its title, tells us two phases of Tony’s life, in an arc of four episodes that give us a glimpse of what his journey was and is: A Portuguese story of a hero’s overcoming and success romantic. The demonstration of how the strength of a dream overcame poverty, the absence of parents, maladjustment and the hard life of an immigrant. A work of love, or if Tony Carreira wasn’t the greatest Portuguese romantic singer, a series that reflects his struggle, his values, personality and passion: Passion for music, for fans, for family and for Portugal.

The cast will be made up of three actors who will play the role of Tony Carreira at different moments in his life. Gabriel Conde will represent the singer between the ages of 6 and 10, while Duarte Estrela will play the teenage version until Carlos Félix reaches the young adult stage.

Duarte Grilo and Cleia Almeida are Tony’s parents, Custódia Gallego and João Lagarto are his grandparents and Miguel Bogalho will be his brother José Antunes. Ex-wife Fernanda Antunes will be played by Bárbara Lourenço. The cast is also made up of names like Luís Coelho, Miguel Cunha, André Susano and Miguel Mateus.
