This Wednesday, May 8th, marks the return of the prince Harry to the United Kingdom, regarding the anniversary of the Invictus Games. On this occasion, the youngest son of Charles III has reason to be disappointed, as it will not be possible to meet his father, and he has decided to grant the William a military title related to his former regiment.

Buckingham Palace recently announced that the king’s eldest son will be granted the honorary rank of colonel in the Army Air Corps. The position is currently held by the monarch, and will pass to his eldest son next week, despite Harry having served in this regiment during the period he was in Afghanistan in 2014.

The news comes hours after a spokesperson for her husband Meghan having publicly confirmed that the Duke of Sussex will not meet his father during his stay in England, given the monarch’s busy schedule during this period. “Unfortunately, it will not be possible due to Her Majesty’s program. Of course, the Duke understands his father’s schedule and other priorities and hopes to be able to see him soon.”they stated.

It should be noted that Harry arrived in the United Kingdom – without the company of his wife or children – on the afternoon of May 7th and is expected to speak today at St Paul’s Cathedral. On the other hand, Charles III is expected to host a party in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. The last time father and son were together was on the Duke’s “lightning visit” to England, after learning of his father’s cancer diagnosis in February.
