The 26th National Influenza Vaccination Campaign will begin in Caçapava next Monday, March 25th, and will continue until May 31st, 2024, according to the Ministry of Health’s schedule.

The vaccine is considered the best prevention strategy against influenza and has the ability to promote immunity during the period of greatest circulation.
of viruses, reducing the worsening of the disease, hospitalizations and the number of deaths, in addition to reducing the burden on health services. Symptoms can be confused with those of Covid-19.

Influenza is an acute infection that affects the respiratory system, with high transmissibility and global distribution, with a tendency to spread easily in seasonal epidemics, as occurs in colder seasons, and can also cause pandemics.

The Ministry of Health’s goal is to immunize at least 90% of the so-called priority group, that is, those individuals most susceptible to the virus and who become vectors of the disease.
