Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures hit theaters, where it became the most watched film in the world. This allowed us to achieve higher revenue than forecasts.

Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire grossed $194 million worldwide, much higher than the $135 million forecast presented in the days before its release on March 28, in cinemas, and 6% higher than the result of the previous film. Of this total, more than $114 million was obtained in international markets.

Estimates indicate that the Adam Wingard-directed film cost between $155 million and $200 million, so it’s well-positioned to turn out well for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.

When Godzilla vs. Kong hit theaters in 2021, its result was affected by several constraints, such as simultaneous availability with HBO Max in some territories and restrictions related to COVID-19 in movie theaters. Still, it surpassed $470 million at the box office.

Regarding other films being shown, Kung Fu Panda 4 reached $347 million in global revenue, close to $200 million was made outside the United States, Ghostbusters: The Ice Empire is now close to $109 million, while Dune: Part 2 is now over $626 million grossed at box offices worldwide.
