Last Tuesday, the 23rd, a new meeting addressing issues related to the problem of inadequate cabling or abandonment of wires by telecommunications companies that cause disruption to the city’s sidewalks and roads, was held at the Municipal Palace. The meeting was attended by representatives from Civil Defense and Procon Arapongas, as well as representatives from telephone operator companies, internet providers and Copel de Arapongas.
Copel, the company responsible for intermediating the relationship with operators and internet and telephone service providers, presented a report on the company’s actions. During the conversation, a case study on the theme “Optical Fiber and Telephony Cable” was presented by the Civil Defense coordinator, Paulo Kummel. “Our main objective is to deal with the inadequate wiring of companies operating in Arapongas. Civil Defense has been available to solve the problem together, avoiding the application of sanctions and other measures”, he said.

According to the coordinator of Procon Arapongas, Fabiani Barbist, complaints have intensified in recent weeks. “We have received several complaints from consumers regarding fallen and dangling wires. Therefore, we want to look for alternatives to provide a solution to this issue”, she emphasized.
The technical meeting also included the participation of the Legal Attorney, Gabriel Esper and the Secretary of Public Security and Traffic Paulo Argati.
