At the ceremony this Tuesday, the 30th, with significant popular participation, the Secretariat for Social Development and Work (SEDEST) of Juazeiro do Norte handed out 200 certificates for professional courses, offered through the Work and Income Sector in partnership with SENAC.
The delivery took place at the Secretariat’s headquarters, located at Rua Monsenhor Esmeraldo, s/n, Franciscanos.
Telma de Oliveira, who completed the Confectionery Basics course, highlighted the empowerment represented by the opportunity: “For me, this course is very important! Because now I’m starting from scratch and I’m an entrepreneur. And, for me, who works in another area, It’s a bold move to develop another business, and Confectionery has been very rewarding, very innovative, as I didn’t like cooking. And so, I found myself having to learn something new.”
Telma still classifies the experience as “a beautiful opportunity to have participated [e ter aprendido]”. The person assisted also states that she is setting up her own confectionery shop and that she took the course to boost her business.

– Basics of Feminine Cutting and Brushing
– Basic Cutting and Sewing
– Eyebrows Design
– Confectionery Basics
– Basic Electrical Installation Techniques
– Preparation of cakes and pies
– Eyelash Beautification
– Child Caregiver
In addition to the Work and Income Sector, SEDEST’s professional qualification courses are regularly made available by municipal Telecenters, also free of charge.
